His due-diligence and attention to detail were evident when he began his professional journey in the supply chain and retail domain. He possesses an evidently incumbent passion and inclination towards the environment, which reached fruition in the form of Shan Solar, in 2008. His support for going green and nurturing renewable energy is reflected in the innovative solar energy solutions provided by the company. His vision for a self-reliant, solar powered India, and his mission to contribute to social wellness blends perfectly with Shan Solar’s key result areas.
C. Sasikanth – Associate Promoter
A corporate finance & strategic management professional, Sasikanth has over 30 years experience and has been associated with many large corporate houses in India holding mostly Board level positions. He is currently corporate advisor to a large corporate house and also on the Board of several companies. His special interest in renewable energy has now prompted him to become an entrepreneur. Sasikanth is a Chartered Accountant and an acknowledged expert in Corporate Finance, Project Execution & Management, Strategic Planning & Operations Management. His track record includes execution of new projects, facilitating modernization & expansion of existing projects in Steel, Ferro Alloys, Wind Power, Biomass Power, Floriculture, Textiles & Software verticals. He has structured & obtained financial closure for several Greenfield projects, led teams to tap investment from several vehicles including foreign direct investments, private equities and cross border deals. An innovative person, Sasikanth through his acumen has helped steer several companies to a leadership position in their respective domain. An effective communicator with great analytical skills, he is seen as a thought leader and gets regular speaker opportunity at various conferences & seminars.
Sethurao Ravichandran – Managing Director
With experience of 25 Years in the Banking and Finance industry. He is a graduate from Chennai University and a diploma in Banking and Finance from Hindustan Chamber of Commerce, he also holds an MBA from the US. Ravichandran started his career as an Industrialist in Oil extraction factory, after which he had hands on experience in Leather industry for 10 Years. Ravichandran, started Trading activities in the brand name Tanjara and also took up turnkey projects in India to bring it to a profit level. He is also a noted philanthropist. through the Virukshalaya Foundation Trust, the philanthropic arm of the Tanjara Group, he has had his energies invested in educating India. The foundation, active in backward villages, offers free education, empowers women and creates health and hygiene awareness.
C Suryaprasad, Group Advisor
Suryaprasad has rich experience for over three decades in heading various projects including as CEO for solar photovoltaic plants; waste water treatment, reverse osmosis & effluent treatment plants. He has over two decade experience in photovoltaic business and has overseen setting up over 250 Solar PV plants & thermal systems. As head of Urminus Industries Ltd, India and in partnership with Tata BP Solar India he has set up solar power plants on off-shore platforms, telecom towers, amongst others. As CEO of Netel (India) Ltd., he introduced Solar Hot Water systems for residential and commercial buildings and solar PV lights for emergency.
S. Ragavan, Chief Finance Officer
Ragavan is an MBA in Finance and Cost Accountant from Institute of Cost and Works Accountants, India. He has around 20 years of experience in finance, accounts, treasury, cost and management accounting, capital budgeting, budgetary controls, project financing, working capital management in manufacturing companies. As a Qualified SAP Consultant with SAP India (a subsidiary of SAP AG Germany), he has worked in the areas of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) including Industry Best Practice solutions and process re-engineering. He has travelled on consulting assignment to various countries like US, Hong Kong, China, Kenya and UK. He also worked as Team lead with IBM India Pvt. Ltd., on off-shore delivery solutions for business process re-engineering with IFRS and Sox compliance for its client- Shell Petroleum and supervised its rollout across 22 countries. He has a good experience in the aspects of international trade and finance.
